a) in regulation 1(2) (interpretation), at the end of the definition of "the preventative and protective measures";

b) in regulation 3 (risk assessment), at the end of paragraph (1):

d) in regulation 9 (co-operation and co-ordination), in paragraph (1)(a) after the words "the relevant statutory provisions".

2) In regulation 8(1) of the 1999 Management Regulations (information for employees)(a) -

b) the words "and regulation 4(2)(b) of the Fire precautions (Workplace) Regulations 1997" shall be inserted at the end of sub-paragraph (d).

3) In regulation 9 of the 1999 Management Regulations (co-operation and co-ordination), the following shall be substituted for paragraph (1)(b) - "(b) (taking into account the nature of his activities) take all reasonable steps to co-ordinate the measures he takes to comply with the requirements and prohibitions imposed upon him by or under the relevant statutory provisions and by Part II of the Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations 1997 with the measures the other employers concerned are taking to comply with the requirements and prohibitions imposed upon them by that legislation;".
