regulations therefore require that all employers make a suitable and sufficient
assessment of their first aid needs. Employers may need to justify on what grounds
the level of first aid provision has been set. Therefore although this assessment
does not have to be recorded the employer may wish to keep a written copy as proof
of compliance with current legislation. The employer is also required to make
