A risk assessment should be reviewed on a regular intervals this will normally be every 6 - 12 months depending on the severity of the hazard. The review is to ascertain what progress has been made in eliminating risks, and whether any new risks have arisen.

There are certain times when the current risk assessment will no longer be valid for example:

• Change of working practice
• Change of a workstation / place of work
• Change of equipment
• Change of job / or personal

At these times a risk assessment must be repeated. The above list is not endless.
