Lone workers are those who work by themselves without close or direct supervision. Lone workers can be found in a wide range of occupations such as:

• People who work in kiosks, petrol stations
• Caretakers, groundsman,
• Maintenance and repair workers
• Security patrols

Then there are other workers who may have a base to work from but due to their job they have to be mobile and frequently work by themselves these will include:

• Drivers of all types
• Postal workers
